In shortMatch Group, Bumble and Grindr report the July to September 2026 quarter in early November. Match guided to revenue down 2% to 3%, Bumble to a drop of roughly 13% to 17% with no call, and Grindr to about $540 million for the year. Watch Tinder payers, Hinge growth, Bumble's filing and Grindr's pace.

This is a preview, written on 16 October 2026, before any of the results are out. Match Group, Bumble and Grindr will report the third quarter of 2026 (July to September) in early November. On their own guidance, Match expects total revenue of $885 million to $895 million, down 2% to 3% [1]. Bumble expects $205 million to $213 million, which is 13% to 17% below a year earlier on our calculation [3][8]. Grindr does not guide by quarter, but expects about $540 million for the full year [5].

Bumble's quarter will look different from the other two. Because it has agreed to be taken private by Ithaca Holdings, it will not publish an earnings release or hold a call [11].

When the results are due

None of the three had announced a Q3 2026 date by 16 October 2026. Last year's timing is the best guide.

  • Match Group reported Q3 2025 on 4 November 2025, after the market closed, having announced the date on 14 October [6][12].
  • Bumble reported Q3 2025 on 5 November 2025 [8]. This year it plans only to file its quarterly report (Form 10-Q) by 9 November 2026, with no release and no call [11].
  • Grindr reported Q3 2025 on 6 November 2025 [9].

We will update this page with the actual numbers once they are published.

Where each company stood after Q2 2026

In the three months to June 2026, Match Group's total revenue was $853.1 million, down 1%, from 13.3 million payers, down 6% [1]. Tinder's direct revenue was $457.5 million, down 1%, with 8.5 million payers, down 5% [1]. Hinge grew direct revenue 22% to $203.5 million, with 2.0 million payers, up 17% [1].

Bumble Inc's revenue fell 15.2% to $210.5 million, and paying members fell 16.4% to 3.16 million [3]. The Bumble app alone earned $171.7 million, down 14.7% [3]. Adjusted EBITDA was $72.9 million, a 34.6% margin [3].

Grindr grew revenue 33% to $138 million, with 1.4 million average paying members, up 16%, and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 42% [5].

Guidance against last year

Two notes on the comparisons. Match's Q3 2025 adjusted EBITDA of $301 million included a $61 million legal settlement and $2 million of restructuring; excluding them it was $364 million [6]. So the guided rise of about 10% flatters the underlying trend [1][6]. And Match's Q3 2026 guidance already includes a $10 million hit from Tinder product tests and $15 million from lower Azar revenue during an app redesign [1].

For the full year, Match said in August that revenue would land near the midpoint of its February range of $3,410 million to $3,535 million, and adjusted EBITDA at or above the top of its $1,280 million to $1,325 million range [1][15].

The four questions that matter

1. Is Tinder's payer decline flattening?

Tinder had 9.3 million payers in Q3 2025, down 7% on the year before [7]. By Q2 2026 it had 8.5 million, down 5% [1]. Match called that "consistent with our expectations" and said Tinder's daily active members fell 4%, its best result in ten quarters [1]. Match expects Tinder direct revenue to fall by a low single digit percentage in 2026, including a $30 million to $40 million cost from product tests [1]. The thing to watch is whether payers are still falling at around 5%, or whether the new matching changes and in-person events are starting to slow the decline [1].

2. Can Hinge keep growing above 20%?

Hinge's Q3 2025 direct revenue was $185 million, with 1.9 million payers and revenue per payer of $32.87 a month [7]. In February 2026 Match guided Hinge to growth "in the low to mid-20 percents" for the year, and in August it said Hinge was in line with that guidance [14][1]. Match says Hinge will reach $1 billion of revenue in 2027 [1]. Watch the European expansion markets, where Hinge's direct revenue grew 86% in Q2 2026, and the extra subscription tier Hinge planned to test in Q3 [1].

3. What does Bumble's 10-Q show, with nobody on a call?

Bumble's quarter will arrive as a filing only [11]. The questions it can still answer: did paying members keep falling, and by how much did marketing spend rise? Management said on the Q2 call that marketing would ramp in Q3 and Q4 and that margins would return to historical levels in the second half [4]. It also said the new way of matching that replaces the swipe would start rolling out in "very early 2027", after a delay in moving data to the cloud [4]. See Bumble's rebuild for the full timeline.

4. Is Grindr's growth holding up?

Grindr's Q3 2025 revenue was $115.8 million, with direct revenue of $96 million, 1.3 million average paying members and revenue per payer of $24.70 a month [9][10]. Its full-year guidance of about $540 million implies growth of roughly 23% on 2025 [5][13]. Advertising is expected to be in the mid to high teens as a share of revenue [5]. Watch whether paying members are still growing at around 16% and whether advertising keeps outpacing subscriptions [5].

What we will add when results land

  • Each company's result against its own guidance in the table above.

What it means for dating app operators

  1. The market is still paying more per head, not more heads.

Match's payers fell 6% while revenue per payer rose 6% in Q2 2026 [2]. If Q3 shows the same, price is still carrying revenue across the industry.

  2. Positioning keeps winning.

Hinge and Grindr, the two apps with the clearest audiences, are the only big apps adding payers [1][5]. A broad, undifferentiated app is the hardest place to be.

  3. Product tests cost money in the short term.

Match is budgeting tens of millions of dollars of lost revenue to change how Tinder works [1]. Any operator changing its core experience should plan for a dip before the gain.

  4. A rebuild has a long tail.

Bumble's new way of matching has been pushed into very early 2027 because moving its data to the cloud took longer than expected [4]. If you are planning your own, assume the data migration takes longer than the code. Our how it works page explains how we approach that step.
