Dating API is the app edition of DatingPartners.com, from a team with 25 years of building and running dating platforms. Platforms our team has built and run power 500+ dating sites. Dating API opens the same technology, safety team and members to native apps, starting with Dating Lab, our reference app.

Dating Lab is our own reference app: a dating app for grown-ups who are tired of swiping, with a clear idea of what it wants to be: calm, considered and human.
Its old app held it back: slow, awkward to use and hard to change. Rather than rebuild a whole dating platform, the Dating Lab team rebuilt only what makes Dating Lab different, and put everything else on Dating API.

- Government ID checks and the verified badge (from 30 November 2026)
- Emails, with links back into the app
- Backfill from the shared network
Photo moderation, the ID vendor, real-time chat and the matching code all left Dating Lab’s own stack.
Who viewed you, reactions, compatibility questions, similar people and priority messages came with the platform.
Dating Lab members see each other first. Active members from the shared network fill the gaps, so nobody is shown dormant profiles.
