If anything goes wrong

## What protects you, in our standard terms.

Moving your members onto someone else’s platform should never put them at risk. These promises are in our standard terms. Amounts still being set are marked.

### Leaving costs nothing

Export everything at any time, at no charge, in standard formats: members, photos, messages, matches, payments and safety records. The EU Data Act bans switching charges from 12 January 2027; ours are already nil.

### 90 days of run-off

If you leave, or if we ever stopped trading, your app keeps running while it moves. Members notice nothing.

### Source code escrow

With an independent escrow agent, on request, with step-in rights if we stop trading or stop providing the service.

### Insurance

Cyber insurance and professional liability insurance from December 2026, naming you, with certificates every year. Cover: amounts being set with our brokers.

Planned · Dec 2026

### Service credits

Uptime and urgent-report times are measured every month. If we miss them, you get credits on that month’s fees, set out in the service level schedule.

### Prices you can plan around

Fixed for the first term. After that, any rise is capped at US inflation (CPI) for the previous 12 months, with 90 days’ notice.

The liability cap for data protection breaches is separate from, and higher than, the general cap: figure being set with our lawyers and insurers. Your app’s screens and designs are yours. Members always hear about your account from you, never from us. More in the [continuity promise](https://www.datingapi.io/security#continuity).

For your finance team

## The paperwork, on request.

Sent under NDA if you prefer, usually within one working day. Use the [request form](https://www.datingapi.io/trust#request) or ask your account contact.
